Hay Diet - Acid vs alkaline

Hay Dieters should consider how much acid or alkaline your body will produce when your meal is digesting.

Over acidity is very common and can become a dangerous condition that weakens all of the bodies systems. When excess acids must be neutralized our alkaline reserves become depleted leaving the body in a weakened state.

Dr Hay suggested as part of the Hay Diet your daily meals should, ideally, consist of alkaline forming foods and acid forming foods at the ratio of about four to one in favour of alkaline foods.

For this reason it is important to understand which foods cause acid and which foods create alkaline and to have a sensible ratio in your diet.

Which of the alkaline foods do you like?
